Ron...thank you for such a terrific piece of writing and reporting. It is alarming to learn how much our planet has changed during our lifetimes. And will continue to change. For the worse, more than likely.

Many people, alas, roll their eyes at stories like this.

To. Our. Peril.

Thank you again for echoing an alarm that has been sounding for a while now.

Such a great article! Very well said. I too fear for the future of our world and my grandchildren.

Nice piece Ron. Join an organization doing something about it. I volunteer with Food and Water Action/Watch. Our Oregon chapter is trying to pass a moratorium bill in the state Senate on tier 2 confined animal feeding operations or factory farms, the largest of the large. I also changed my diet, drive an EV and am looking to purchase an electric water heater. We get 96% of our electricity from hydroelectric dams.

I fear for the future, for all the flora and fauna. I see everyday the effects of climate change. I fear for my grandchildren and I’m glad I won’t be alive to see the devastating destruction of the harm we have rendered. It depresses me everyday what we are doing to this beautiful world. I wish I could change it but it will take more than I’m capable of to change this. Greed. Corporate interests. Blindness. It all is leading to a future I can’t even imagine. I’m sorry, too.
